General Aftercare for All Aesthetic Treatments

For the first 4–6 hours

• Avoid touching, rubbing or applying pressure to the treated area.

• Keep the area clean and avoid makeup.

• Avoid hot environments (saunas, hot showers, steam rooms).

 

For 24 hours

• Avoid alcohol (it increases swelling).

• Avoid strenuous exercise.

• Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold.

• Do not lie face-down for massages or beauty treatments.

 

For 48 hours

• Expect mild swelling, redness or small lumps — this can be normal.

• Bruising may appear and can take a few days to fade.

• Drink plenty of water to help healing.

 

For 2 weeks

• Avoid sunbeds.

• Avoid facial massages or strong facial treatments on the injection area.

• Keep your skin well hydrated and use SPF daily.

 

Aftercare by Treatment

Dermal Fillers (Lips, Cheeks, Chin, Jaw, Under-Eye, Nasolabial Folds)

• Expect swelling (especially lips) for 24–72 hours.

• Small bumps can settle as the filler integrates with your tissue.

• Avoid flying for 48 hours.

• No pressure on the area (no sleeping face-down).

• Avoid hot and spicy foods after lip filler for 24 hours.

 

Anti-Wrinkle Injections 

• Do not rub or massage the area for 24 hours.

• Avoid lying flat for 4 hours.

• No strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

• Results develop gradually over 7–14 days.

• A top-up, if needed, is only done at 2 weeks.

 

Skin Boosters (Profhilo, Lemon Bottle Booster, Polynucleotides, Lumi Eye)

• Small raised bumps at the injection sites are completely normal for 24–48 hours.

• Hydrate well to support collagen stimulation.

• Avoid makeup for 12 hours.

• Avoid strong acids/retinols for 48 hours.

 

Lemon Bottle Fat Dissolving

• Swelling and tenderness are normal for a few days.

• Light massage to the area can help reduce swelling (your practitioner will guide you).

• Drink water and stay hydrated.

• Avoid anti-inflammatory medications unless advised.

• Mild bruising is common.

 

Important: Red Flags & When to Contact Us Immediately

 

Your safety is everything to us. Although complications are rare, it’s important to recognise any signs that need urgent attention — especially after filler treatments.

 

Signs of a Possible Vascular Occlusion (VO)

(Very rare, but important to know)

 

Call us immediately if you experience:

• Severe, worsening or unusual pain in the area

• Skin that becomes pale, blotchy, white, grey or dusky

• Skin that feels cold compared to surrounding areas

• Reduced sensation or tingling

• A firm, increasing lump that does not improve

• Mottling that looks like a lace pattern on the skin

• Areas of darkening (blue/purple) that appear suddenly

A VO is time-sensitive and needs urgent care. We act immediately to dissolve filler if this happens.

 

Other Signs You Must Report

• Large swelling that worsens after 2–3 days

• Increasing redness or heat in the area

• A lump that becomes painful or inflamed

• Any signs of infection (fever, chills, pus)

• Vision changes (extremely rare — call instantly)

• Severe allergy symptoms (difficulty breathing, swelling of tongue or throat — call 999, then alert us)
